CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS

I. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS-  GRINDING operations

I.1. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS - for SURFACE GRINDING OPERATIONS

Straight or inclined surfaces working is performed with surface grinding maschine which make use of ceramic bonded grinding wheels - cylindrical; ring; cup and segment types.

Ceramic bonded grinding wheels - for surface grinding operations

-Ceramic bonded grinding wheels – plane cylindrical type- for surface grinding - the most widely used as they perform both surface and ball-bearing rings, shoulders or outlines grinding - ceramic bonded grinding wheels – cylindrical ring type- for surface grinding – are used on medium power maschines and this type of grinding wheel can remove the excesses material faster, but less accurately - ceramic bonded grinding wheels-straight cup wheel type-for surface grinding - are used on low power maschines and this type of grinding wheel can remove the excesses material faster, but less accurately - ceramic bonded grinding wheels- segments type-for surface grinding - are used on high power maschines and this type of wheels can remove the excesses material faster, but less accurately . Segments are convenient for fast and cold working aplications.

The above mentioned ceramic bonded grinding wheels are recommended to be used for the following materials processing : aluminium alloy ; hard bronze ; soft  brass and bronze ; unalloyed steel, alloyed steel ; stainless steel ; grey cast iron ; metallic carbide ; stellite ; rubber and plastics.

I.2. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING

Grinding of outside revolution surfaces is performed with the following abrasives:

I.2.1.CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEEL FOR BETWEEN CENTERS EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING

External cylindrical grinding between centers is used for the mass production of the identical working pieces which, because of their shape, may be introduce in the maschine with a diameter dimension and taken off with another dimension. 

I.2.2 CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR EXTERNAL GRINDING- PLUNGE FEED GRINDING

External plunge feed grinding is used for the mass production of the identical working pieces with irregular cylindrical shapes.

I.2.3. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR CAMSHAFT EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING

Camshaft external cylindrical grinding is a very specialised operation. For this operation cylindrical type ceramic bonded wheels are recommended.

I.2.4. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR CRANKSHAFT EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING 

For this specialised operation cylindrical type ceramic bonded wheels are recommended.

I.2.5. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR CENTERLESS GRINDING

Centerless grinding is used for the mass production of the identical working pieces which because of their shape may be introduce in the maschine with a diameter dimension and taken off with another dimension.


I.2.6. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR ROLL WAYS GRINDING

For this operation 1CR and 38CR types of ceramic bonded wheels are recommended.

I.3. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR INTERNAL  CYLINDRICAL GRINDING

Internal grinding wheels are of a harder grade and with a more open structure than external grinding wheels.

I.4. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR SPECIAL GRINDING :



1.4.1 CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR GEARS GRINDING 

Grinding is one of the technological finishing operations for gears theeth. It is recommended for the gears which work at high efforts and great speeds.

I.4.2. CERAMIC BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR THREADS GRINDING

For this type of operation recommended grits range are between 100 and 500 and hardness between I and N. Thread grinding wheels are used for the manufacture of special screws for trucks industry, air industry, maschine tools and accessories, fine mechanics.

BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS

I.BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR POLISHING OF WELDING BELTS AND CASTING FAULTS

This type of grinding wheels are used on fixed and swing- frame grinding maschines, electric and pneumatic hand held maschines.There are intended for precision and rough grinding on various materials such as hard and soft steel, cast iron, aluminium, bronze, brass, concrete, stone, terrazzo, ceramics.

II. BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS FOR STEEL DEBURRING

 
Due to the fact that this types of grinding wheels are reinforced we recommend to be used at higher peripherical speeds (45m/s).

III. BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS- FOR GRINDING OPERATIONS:

Generally bakelite bonded grinding wheels can be used in surface grinding operations and in both face grinding on deplex grinding maschines also.

III.1.BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS  FOR SURFACE GRINDING 

Straight or inclined surfaces working is performed with surface grinding maschine which make use of backelite bonded grinding wheels- segment type.

III.2. BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS - FOR BOTH FACES GRINDING

These types of wheels are nut inserted grinding wheels used to grind the both faces on duplex grinding maschines, especially simultaneousely grinding of two flat faces at very high production rates.There are frequently used in automotive, in aerospace, in foundry and tool industry.

IV. BAKELITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS - FOR SHARPENING OPERATIONS:

An important matter in tools sharpening is how to maintain tool shape and dimensions and at the same time to obtain the best cutting angle. This need is achieved by a good cutting edges abrasive and an adequate shape holding bond.

Abrasive paste recommended for processing operations of ferrous, nonferrous and plastic materials are solid and semi-fluide types.

- PINK PASTE (#180) -used for: preparing the steel surfaces for galvanisation covering ; finishing of metallic constructions made from austenitic stainless steel ; stone finishing - WHITE PASTE (#320) used for: preparing the surfaces of casting brass for galvanisation covering process ; finishing of metallic constructions made from austenitic stainless steel - BLUE PASTE (#320 ; #1000) -used for polishing of metallic objects

- GREEN PASTE (#320 ; #1000) - used for polishing of stainless steel objects.

SEMI-FLUID PASTES

- LAPPING PASTE (#280 ; #600) used for:slide valve cock and valve seat lapping process

- GRAPHITE PASTE (#180 ) used for lapping of gear assemblies in order to reduce the noise and vibrations

MAGNESITE BONDED GRINDING WHEELS
